Evanthia Milara was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She earned her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Graphic Design at the Vacalo School of Arts, graduating with top honors.
Right after college, she joined J. Walter Thompson and as an Art Director she worked on various national and international accounts, including Mattel, Warner-Lambert, Lever Brothers, Citroen, Interbank and Sunsilk hairspray. Her Bonsai cosmetics packaging won a third-place Award at the Athens Advertising Festival.
Three years later, as an Art Director for Ogilvy & Mather, she received a first-place Advertising Award for her Foudounia/ Pepsico Foods TV commercials. Other clients included Best Foods, Ford, Shell, Nikon, Varta and Varagis furniture.
In 1993, she enrolled in the Academy of Art University, in San Francisco, California, where she earned her Master’s of Fine Arts in Advertising and Film.
She then moved to Los Angeles, where she joined the creative team of Image Entertainment. Her portfolio includes work for James Brown, Chick Corea, Moody Blues, Fourplay, Sheryl Crow, Christina Aguilera, Jamie Foxx, the Discovery Channel and many more. Her packaging for The Legend of Sasquatch earned an Excellence Award.
In 2008, she started working with EMI Capitol Records and handled all Latin releases, including Selena, Diana Reyes, Pablo Alboran, Heroes Del Silencio, Juan Luis Guerra and Tiziano Ferro.
Evanthia is also a Graphic Design and Advertising Professor at The Art Institute of Hollywood, The Art Institute of Santa Monica and The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, online division.
